About Tana Engineering P.L.C.
Tana Engineering P.L.C. was founded in the early 1950 with 5 skilled workers and a capital of 9000 Birr. At first the machine tools installed were one lathe, one cylinder boring machine and one Land Rover Engine used as prime mover.
At present Tana Engineering is one of the leading and most experienced workshops in Addis Ababa for mechanical repair and rectification work. Our Customers include the industrial, agricultural, construction and automotive sectors.
With the aim of providing an all-rounded service to its Customers, seventeen years ago, Tana Engineering extended its activities by creating a Commercial Division which provides dealership and support services, for foreign supplied equipment. Since it has embarked on this scope of services it has managed to establish several Dealership Ventures with world-wide known manufacturers of leading international brand name equipment and machinery such as New Holland Construction Equipment, Astra Veicoli Industriali, Schindler Elevators & Escalators, IVECO and others. After taking these Dealerships, it has made a significant breakthrough in the Ethiopian Market.
Tana Engineering is continuously improving its organizational and staff system so as to meet its objectives and appropriately respond to Customers’ needs. At present, Tana has a total staff size of more than 250 comprising of Managers of different levels, Technical and Workshop Heads, Foremen and Inspectors, Technicians and other Support Staffs. Tana Engineering takes pride in its skilled team of experts who strive to service its Customers with integrity and honesty.
